24-річний львів’янин Володя Вінярський приїхав на Майдан в перші дні грудня, відразу після побиття студентів, боровся на передовій на Грушевського, пережив страшні події 18-20 лютого і врятував не одне життя пораненим побратимам. 18-го він відправив мамі у Львів смс: «Мамо, ми в оточенні Беркуту, пробач, якщо що». Того разу Володя вцілів. За місяць він вступив до Національної гвардії і пішов захищати Україну на сході.
4-го червня під Старобільськом на Луганщині Володя Вінярський отримав тяжке наскрізне вогнепальне поранення грудей, правої легені та корінців хребта. Перше, що пригадує Володя після як в нього влучила снайперська куля – це смак пороху і крові в горлі, і наступне найстрашніше відчуття – нерухомість.
Зараз Володя лежить у Головному військовому госпіталі в Києві. У нього повний нижній параліч, відсутність чутливості у ногах, проблеми з легенями. Але надія на повне відновлення є, оскільки куля чудом не зачепила спинний мозок.
Доля цього хлопця залежить від нас. Те, чи залишиться він назавжди інвалідом чи повернеться до повноцінного життя, залежить від того, чи вдасться відправити Володю на лікування в Ізраїль, де лікарі мають багаторічний досвід оперування і допомоги при подібних вогнепальних пораненнях хребта.

Volodymyr Vinyarsky, a 24-year old National Guard volunteer and a soldier of the Azov Battalion was an active participant of the Maydan protests in December 2013 – early 2014 in Kyiv.
Volodymyr came to Kyiv’s Maydan from Lviv in early December after the riot police had brutally beaten and dispersed the protesting students who had gathered in Maydan Square.
He was right in the midst of fighting in Hrushevsky Street on February 18-20. He saved many lives helping the wounded to get to safety.
On December 18 he texted his mother: “Mother, we are surrounded by Berkut riot police. If something happens to me – please forgive me.” But he came out of the clashes with police alive. A month later he joined the National Guard, became a member of the Azov Battalion and went to the east of Ukraine to fight for Ukraine’s unity and independence.
On June 4, during a battle in the vicinity of the town of Starobilsk, Volodymyr Vinyarsky was badly wounded – a bullet passed through his chest, damaging the right lung and his spinal chord. The wound paralyzed him.
At present Volodymyr Vinyarsky is being treated in a military hospital in Kyiv. His condition is described as very serious – he suffers from paraplegia, his lungs are functioning but poorly.
Whether he becomes disabled for the rest of his life and condemned to the wheelchair, or whether he will be able to regain the ability to walk depends on whether he will be able to go to Israel for treatment to a hospital which has gained a lot of experience over the years in treating cases like his (bullet wounds to the spinal chord). Since the spinal cord has not been severed but only damaged, there is a chance that through operations and proper treatment, Volodymyr Vinyarsky will be able to walk again. Everything depends on our help!
We ask your help in raising money to pay for Volodymyr Vinyarsky’s treatment in Israel – it will coast about 150,000 dollars. We do hope that we shall be able to raise the money in a short time – every day matters.
We surely know that there are dozens of Ukrainian soldiers, wounded in the Anti-Terrorist operations in the east of the country. Some are very badly wounded, some are beyond any help.
But Volodymyr Vinyarsky’s wound is of the kind that can be treated and cured.
